A Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) encerrou à meia-noite
deste domingo, 31, a Operação Semana Santa 2024, que começou à zero hora de
quinta, dia 28.
Nestes quatro dias, a PRF em Santa Catarina registrou 93
acidentes, nos quais 102 pessoas ficaram feridas e cinco morreram. Em
comparação com o mesmo feriadão do ano passado, houve redução no número de
acidentes e feridos e estabilidade no número de óbitos.
No tocante aos acidentes foram 93 em 2024 e 105 em 2023, com
queda de 11%. Com relação aos feridos, foram 102 neste ano e 126 no ano
passado, com queda de 19%. Tanto em 2023 quanto neste ano, ocorreram 5 mortes
no período da operação.
Quatro óbitos foram registrados na quinta-feira, 28, dois na
BR-282 em Erval Velho e dois na BR-101, em Içara e Laguna, e um no domingo, uma
colisão frontal na BR-470 em Campos Novos.
A fiscalização da PRF flagrou 227 motoristas dirigindo sob
efeito de álcool, 218 ultrapassando em local proibido, 42 manuseando o celular
e 201 transitando acima da velocidade máxima. Além disso, 222 pessoas foram
flagradas sem o cinto de segurança e 38 crianças estavam viajando fora da
cadeirinha.
O combate ao crime não parou durante o feriadão: a PRF em SC
apreendeu 157 quilos de maconha e 10 mil maços de cigarros contrabandeados do
Paraguai.
